On Sunday 17th April 2016 over 400 children, parents, carers, Addis based volunteers, EiABC staff and students, the Balderas Resident Association and the OTB team came together to celebrate the official opening of Balderas Adventure Playground. For 6 week the OTB team, with the help of children, students and volunteers, worked together to transform a piece of unused land in a Condominium Housing Development in central Addis Ababa. The creation of a 30 metre art wall, bamboo and tyre playground, traditional games area and children’s permaculture garden ensured that the 1000 children and young people now have an inspired and safe place to play, learn and socialise.
